A very important question that you should start thinking about in high school is “Should I go to college/university?” It is completely up to you! You can achieve success whether you go to a post secondary institute or not.

You are most likely to make much more money if you go to school then someone who doesn’t. However, some degrees can be completely useless. If you decide to go to college choose a career in which you will enjoy, and that will have jobs available. Don’t go into something just for the money, or because your parents want you to. There are many careers you can choose at post secondary school . Some are in health care, engineering, trades, business, sciences etc. The possibilities are endless! However, post secondary education is very expensive. If you are living alone you will most likely have to live with debt while in school.

University of Phoenix Telephone Call Complaints

For many, headaches with the University of Phoenix begin long before classes start.  Anyone applying for information about the school is placed on a phone list.  The institution is notorious for aggressively pursuing phone leads.  Hundreds of complaints have been filed against the University of Phoenix at CallerComplaints.com.  A majority of these complaints state that the school calls 5 or more times a day; after requesting removal from the school’s call list, dozens of people report receiving further calls, which is a violation of the US Do Not Call act.  This has resulted in many reports filed with the FTC, however the University of Phoenix continues to operate in blatant disregard of the law.

College Roommate Selection Process

I answered an ad to share a house trailer in a park not far from campus. The owner was married to a patriotic sort who was in Korea beginning his lifetime army career. She was a neat freak who played the housewife role even though hubby was gone. She liked to watch the Nixon hearings in the afternoons just to root for him. She was an unsophisticated woman from a small Southern town. I am sure she secretly thought of me as a “dirty hippie” as I referred to her in my mind as “The Hillbilly”. She liked country music and thought it was conducive to studying. She drank beer morning, noon and night but drinking didn’t seem to improve her temperament.

We two opposites began our feckless roommate experiment by drinking a few beers while she told me repeatedly how great it was going to be that such total opposites could live together.
